July 23, 2012 - We’d vote blue as the sky that autumn in my home state of Ohio. Now I’m 52 and still live here. Got a boyfriend, a cat and tons of friends with daughters. We all prefer smaller government that stays out of our bedrooms, libraries and doctor’s offices. I understand the assignment.

July 21, 2013 - After years of planning, 5 Points Alley opens up to the community of Walnut Hills. To commemorate the occasion a new brewery called Rhinegeist tapped some kegs.
July 20, 2016 - Mural of Rosemary Clooney (designed by Natalie Lanese for Artworks) getting painted in Over-The-Rhine. (Now obscured by a mixed use development, but an empty lot in city shouldn’t last forever.)

July 10, 2005 - I recently just took a photo of this same spot in Northside. The vodka mural and all that ivy have been removed. There are two gay bars in view, sadly gone. But the block has evolved with new life, new places and new art.

July 4, 2011 - After the July 4th parade we went to the heart of Northside to tour the American Can Lofts that were under construction. Previously this old factory made parts for can-making machines but had sat vacant for years. They were accepting rental applications. I picked one up and would move in that December.
July 5, 2013 - Holding a framed photo of Michael Jackson, part of a memorial at the gates of Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara County, California. I would lose my iPhone here (but didn’t forget my camera).
